Rename requests

If you'd like to change your MyWikis account name, you'll need to do so here.

Standard

If you would like to do a standard rename, then you need to meet the following requirements:

• You have not renamed yourself within the past year.
• You have not exceeded 3 (three) renames within your time at MyWikis.
• You have not been restricted.

These requirements may be voided in exceptional circumstances.

Please post below with your new name and your signature.

Usurpation

If you would like to usurp an account name (e.g. taking an inactive user's name and using it as your own), then you'll need to check for these requirements:

• You meet the standard rename requirements.
• If the target user is restricted, we will send a notice to them and we'll rename your account immediately.
• If the target user would like to agree. If so, tell them to agree in your request area.
• If not, does he have a significant amount of edits (more than 10 well-natured ones)? If so, then they may not.
• Is there a good reason? (e.g. I don't like putting a 3422 after my username, Cheezmouse.)
• If the target user does not respond to the request within 15 days, the usurpation may proceed.

These requirements may be voided in exceptional circumstances.

Unlike Wikipedia, we don't use CentralAuth and we don't have issues with SUL, therefore we should not have any significant issues.
